@sarah_kamen: Just watering my turtle! 💦 In all seriousness, freshwater baths are a great way to help pesky barnacles start to lift off of a sea turtles shell! 🐢 Because barnacles are used to existing in high salinity environments, the freshwater helps to weaken their grip 💪🏼 Before picking them off, we allow our patients with overwhelming barnacle coverage to soak in freshwater, leading to a smoother removal process for all! 🪛 #barnacles #freshwater #bathtime #seaturtlerescue #seaturtlerehab
