@fortworthzoo: Cats out of the bag … or den! 🐯🐯 Our little tiger ladies are officially on habitat for all guests to see! Zookeepers are following mom, Ndari’s lead on where and how the cubs spend their time. They will have access to the main habitat as well as their behind-the-scenes den, where they may choose to rest or nap. You may notice modifications to the yard, like extra logs in the water; these “baby proofing” measures are important to help keep little cubs safe in a big space. The cubs have been introduced to shallow pools behind the scenes but are now exploring the larger space for the first time! Since tigers are a solitary species, adults typically only spend time together for breeding, and female tigers are solely involved in cub rearing. Rakan will alternate in the main habitat in the coming weeks, but for now our cubs and mom are taking the front seat. Stay tuned for more footage of these tiny tigers exploring their huge habitat!
