@cbsnews: Kansas Democratic Senate candidate Adam Hamilton, who has previously been registered as a Republican, told CBS News’ Caitlin Huey-Burns that party affiliation has never mattered to him as much as a candidate’s “competency, their character and their values.” Hamilton is challenging incumbent Republican Sen. Roger Marshall, who is seeking another term in a race that has become increasingly competitive in traditionally red Kansas. “I’m an independent-minded Democrat who wants to fight for the people of Kansas, all of them, Republicans, Independents and Democrats.” #kansas #republican #democrat #news #politics
