My sons school didn’t even want to give him time off when his dad died. Literally tried talking me into bringing him in. Then when he finally returned they constantly complained that he had “emotionally regressed” yeah he’s 7 and his dad just died. Imagine if I would’ve sent him the very next day. They don’t care about our children , it’s all about money

As a administrator of a school let me tell you we just have to send the letters and emails (mandatory) is not because we care if u child is absent or not

i graduated from high school this year, but every time ive heard of a fellow student who had perfect attendence for an ENTIRE YEAR back in both high school and middle school, i got a little worried for their health 😭

School loose money when one kid it’s not there jajaja that’s whyyyy !!! my daughter has avance clases as well she is a profesional ballet dancer she is 12 sometimes kids need a breake from 8-9 hours of that boring building white walls if she feel tired I say “ok mami stay at home I will cook your comfort meal “ she is amazing has the best mental health honestly [Corazones gemelos]

It builds a mindset in adulthood that makes people think they can never take a day off. I haven't taken a day off in 4 years. I'm exhausted. My last job didn't provide PTO so I never took time off. My current job does provide PTO but I feel bad using it because I'm a nanny and then mom and dad have to take a day off and they already pay me 40 hours a week guaranteed. Why do I feel guilty? I don't know. They're constantly asking me when I want to use my PTO and what do I say "I don't know, I don't have any plans". The school systems are forming broken adults. Adults that feel like being sick, going to the dr, having a rest day, or taking a vacation are crimes. And then they wonder why kids aren't succeeding anymore. Because somewhere down the line they decided it was absolutely not okay to take a break other than the breaks they are forced by law to provide. And then you have sick and miserable kids in school getting everyone sick including the teachers who feel like they're not allowed to take a day to recover because their bosses threaten to fire them. Kids need to be kids. Our school system is broken. Very broken. I'm a nanny and I went to public school and when I have kids, I'll stay home with them and I will homeschool them because I don't agree with how the public school system is run and I also don't agree with everything they teach. So I will teach them. Me and my husband were both IEP kids. He has 2 learning disabilities and I just really struggled with learning the way most teachers teach so I think it would be best for our kids to be homeschooled anyways. That way they get individualized lessons and they can learn how they learn best. And rest when they need rest.
