earlier today I got a call from a mother she was with her daughter at a hospital daughter not feeling good. she wanted her daughter to hear one of my favorite stories. so I told her this one that always touched my heart.So here it goes. on a Friday morning we had left Corpus Christi in the tour bus going down down interstate 37. coming up to George West TX Selena father said go tell the band members we are stopping in George West so if they want to get a soda or something to eat they better do it there. well within 20 minutes we were at the truck stop everybody ran out of the bus. I was second to the last getting out of the bus making sure that Mr Quintanilla wouldn't stumble getting out of the bus. right when he step off the bus this mother and little girl came up to us. and the mom asked is Selena in the bus my daughter would like to meet her.Mr.Q said yes but she's relaxing she's very tired she can't be disturb. I could see that the little girl was disappointed and her eyes got watery the mother understood and she walked away. me and Selena's father were walking towards the truck stop when i heard a knocking on the window of the bus.I turned around and went back to the bus and there was Selena's mom an Selena. I said to them both can I help you with something. I thought Selena was going to ask for ice cream or a bag of Doritos or something she'd like munching on. Marcella said what did Abraham tell that mother and her daughter. I said the daughter wanted to meet Selena and Abraham told the mother that Selena couldn't be disturbed she was very tired. Selena then said to me David you go back inside that store find that lady and bring her back to the bus with her daughter. I said yes Selena I'll go get them. I did tell Marcella what happens if your husband gets mad at me. you said David don't worry about it me and Selena are here and we'll back you up. I had to listen cuz they were my boss also l well I went inside the store I was looking for the lady all over the place I was able to see the mother and daughter in the back of the store and I went to go get them. I said to the mother I need for you and your daughter to follow me. while were walking towards back door of the truck stop the mother said did we do something wrong. I said no just follow me please. we came up to the bus I opened the door and I told the little one to go inside with the mother behind her. then I told the little girl to open up the next door that leads to the living room of the bus. when she opened the door she saw Selena's mom and Marcella greeted her with a beautiful smile. them in the blink of an eye Selena jumped out from behind the door and the girl couldn't believe what she was seeing standing in front of her her favorite singer Selena. it even bought tears to my eyes of course I didn't let nobody noticed that. the girl was so happy she wrapped her arms around Selena she couldn't believe she was hugging Selena her mother turned to me with tears in her eyes and said thank you so much Mr Kramer my daughter will never forget this. I said you're very welcome but it was in my idea it was Selena and her mom to bring you and your daughter into bus. why all this was going on the little girl was so happy she was just jumping up and down in front of Selena. and I could tell Selena got kind of emotional cuz here is this little girl so excited standing in front of her.The mother she had tears running down her face because here was her daughter hugging Selena. after a few minutes Selena said goodbye to the little girl gave her another hug and I helped mother and daughter get down off bus. the little girl wrap her arms around my waist and said thank you so much sir I will never forget this. the mother also thanked me and also gave me a hug. after this was all over with it made me feel good that I was apart of helping a little 8-year-old girl fulfill her dream to meet Selena. when done with the story with the girl over the phone she was so happy with tears.
