You get quick intermittent beeps if your two leads are going through a capacitor. Essentially when you’re checking for continuity your multi meter is sending a signal through but it’s getting caught by the capacitor and the capacitor stops and holds that signal for a second. I’m not a hvac tech but when I’m working with power packs in lighting projects they have capacitors within and it does the same thing
