Things have been rough around here lately, as I'm sure they've been for you all as well. Life is ridiculously expensive at the moment and the plushies we make are also just a little tiny bit expensive. 😅🤣 I understand that weighted plushies aren't a priority when people are stretching their grocery budgets and struggling to pay their rent or mortgage. Shoot, I couldn't afford one of our plushies right now! And that sucks! So things might have to change in the very near future. They probably should have already, but it is what it is. We've been struggling financially for the past several months, limping along week to week between our plushy and instrument strap sales. Unfortunately it's gotten to the point where we are really struggling to pay our bills, even with Mom and Dad having been on job attached unemployment for months and me not getting paid most of the time. The grant that funded David's position at the makerspace is also coming to an end this month, so that's not great timing. Anywho! I just wanted to post this to give you all a heads up and suggest that if you want one of our plushies, now might be the time! Because I don't know how much longer we'll be around. I hope things pick up and we'll exist for years yet. And, as I said in the video, I will at least continue making plushies for a while, even if I have to find other employment (yay, business loan repayment! 😅), but we are definitely coming to a crossroads. In no way do I regret starting this business, or leaving the Postal Service. Even if Plushy Monsters does eventually go away, these past three years have been some of the best of my life, and I have been more fulfilled in my work than I ever was before. I love being creative, I love making weird, adorable, lovely, snuggly things, I love all the extra time I've gotten to have with my husband and kids, and I love all the extra time I've gotten to spend with my parents. I am so grateful that I've gotten to support them in a real way. The thought that I'm letting them down is the worst of all this, but I know that even if we don't work together anymore we'll still love each other and we'll all be okay. I also love the community that's grown around our weird and wonderful little business, even if I've been neglecting it a bit recently (sorry, my peeps, I have had the sads more than usual). I've loved sharing our creations and interactions with you all, and getting to know you through our social media pages. Life is wild! Never in a million years did I think we would have 160,000 people across TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube (up to 438 subscribers! Heck yeah! 🤣🤣🤣) following along to see what we're making and what we're up to. I can't express just how grateful I am to each and every one of you (except that one person who bullied me for being fat on that one TikTok Live. That guy's still on my list. 🤣🤣🤣). Without you Plushy Monsters wouldn't exist! And my life would be much less amazing for it. Anywho *scrubs eyes for no reason* (I'M NOT CRYING YOU'RE CRYING 😭)! Tomorrow is Hatching Day! So that's pretty good! 😅😁 Business as usual, peeps!
