I agree with how she’s doing it. Trash should never count because that’s not an actual item and should have been trashed to begin with. Totally love how you’re counting your items to rid of. Also, I know you said it’s temporary but def get the bread off the floor. If your house is like mine for some reason I always get a mouse about this time of year for them looking to be warm and they do love bread!

I’m doing similar - doing the 31 items on day 1, 30 on day 2 etc. will be just short of 500 items. I’m having a good time doing it and things are feeling clearer.

find a community pantry, our community has several that are like those little libraries that are boxes on a post. any closed food items that are still within the USDA guidelines as safe to eat can be donated there. and then they definitely each count, at least for my morality.
