So crazy… all of mine except one I have been there to help transition. Then one passed away tramatically on a flight home from travel. Ironically, I felt this huge urge to FaceTime him the day before this accident happened. As soon, as I got home from the airport I had to go straight to the vet to identity.. the guilt of not being there for his transition haunted me for a long time. I remember wailing so hard for a week and just being so numb to animals for a long time after that.
