@isoscoring203: This has to be one of the best signature moves in basketball history. Hakeem Olajuwon’s Dream Shake in the post was a perfect blend of footwork, balance, and patience, which had defenders constantly guessing. This move transformed how players score out of the mid-post/post area because it showed that you didn’t need to overpower defenders to be effective on the block. Just look at this throwback clip when Hakeem caught the ball on the right block with his back turned to the basket and his eyes toward the middle of the floor, scanning the help defense. Olajuwon took a dribble with his left while being pressured by the defender, then gathered the ball and gave a quick shimmy fake with his shoulders like he was going to turn to the middle of the paint, before turning over his left shoulder. This completely froze the defender and gave Olajuwon space to shoot the hook floater with his right over the late contest. #basketball #nba #basketballtips #explore #hakeemolajuwon 🎥: @thedr34m /Youtube: Buzzer Beater
