our family reunion is every 2 years we have it at my sister-in-law's and she has a large yard and a big built-in pool. we have over 100 people show up from all over the US for the reunion we charge $ $14 for adults $6 for kids 12 and under free we do this because we have it catered by a local guy who does all the barbecuing but myself and my sister-in-law do all the appetizers and desserts drinks and gift bags for everyone she also gets a big water slide blow up thing. we also do a raffle where everyone brings a basket or something related to their state or hometown or something handmade and we usually have anywhere from 40 to 50 baskets we saw the tickets for like 10 bucks for 40 tickets and the money that's made on the raffle goes towards the next year's reunion to keep the prices down no one has ever complained and it's always a great time

We had a vending machine business and for our family reunion we would bring all of the dented cans of soda, expired chips and partially melted candy bars. My redneck family loved it and we were the most popular people at the picnic. And I’m a Loretta!

My Mom made dinner every year and from the time I was an adult i brought all the desserts. When money was tight for my parents I bought the groceries so my mother could cook her family dinner. Obviously family attended but anyone was welcome, no family, just come on by and eat a meal and visit for a bit.

My sister did this one year. Stood at the door to “collect” as we all left. Yeah, I’ll eat dog food before I’ll ever go to another “dinner” at her house.

Hosted christmas once for my MiL, FiL, SiL and her hubby and their two kids for 2 nights, so I provided 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts, and Christmas lunch for all of them. My MiL and FiL brought stale bread they'd gotten free from the bakery several days before. I was a single mother to their eldest grandchild and their son paid no child support (which they knew). Could not fucking believe it 🤣

I’ve never heard of anyone charging their family for Thanksgiving dinner. I would stay home and cook my own dinner. In our family, one person cooks the turkey and dressing and everyone brings the side dishes.

Hell no. That’s crazy. The turkey is what’s cheapest. The work is a lot. We get together the night before and do the prep all together. We also cook whatever we can microwave the next day. People are strange huh? lol

You mean “a dignified outfit” — an outfit that helps you look calm, confident and well put-together, even when you’re having a bad day. You don’t need expensive brands or big logos to look powerful. The key is simple: clean, fitted and neutral. 3 Formulas for a Dignified Look 🖤 1. Smart Casual Perfect for college, work, hanging out or going somewhere you want to look clean. • Top: Plain Oxford shirt, polo shirt or fitted T-shirt. • Bottom: Straight-cut trousers, khaki pants or clean dark jeans. • Shoes: Loafers or clean white/black sneakers. • Extra: Simple watch + minimal accessories. Vibe: Calm, mature and confident. 2. Monochrome Minimalist 🖤 Simple, but the effect is strong. • Top: Fitted black T-shirt or black shirt. • Bottom: Black trousers or slim-fit black jeans. • Shoes: Black sneakers or boots. • Extra: One watch or a simple chain. Vibe: Mysterious, focused and no unnecessary drama. 3. Old Money Clean Look 🤍 Looking expensive without needing expensive clothes. • Top: Polo or linen shirt in white, cream, olive, mocha or navy. • Bottom: Beige, off-white or straight-cut dress pants. • Shoes: Premium-looking white sneakers or penny loafers. • Extra: Leather belt + simple watch + clean hairstyle. Vibe: Mature, classy and effortless. Being Dignified So Bad Days Lose. 1. Fit is king: Clothes that fit your body will always look better than expensive clothes that are too big or too tight. 2. Keep your colors simple: Black, white, navy, grey, olive, cream and brown are easy to combine and always look clean. 3. Be neat from head to toe: Hair, nails, clothes and shoes should be clean. Small details make a big difference. 4. Don’t overdo accessories: You don’t need everything at once. Sometimes one watch is enough. 5. Your attitude completes the outfit: Stay calm. Walk with confidence. Don’t chase attention. Don’t let a bad day change the way you carry yourself. Bad day? Keep your standards. Mood off? Stay composed. Life gets difficult? Keep moving. You don’t have to look broken just because you’re having a bad day. 🖤 Dress like you respect yourself. Walk like you know your worth. Stay calm and let your presence speak. #sad #painfull #quotes
