our complex uses conservice. they are terrible. I can use less water, but if the building used more hot water then my bill almost doubles. I would lose my mind if I got a bill for $2000

I was surprised in Chesapeake when I got a bill and they asked me if I was filling up a swimming pool and I don’t have a swimming pool, but I had to pay the bill.

This happened to me and my husband!!!! We stopped doing auto pay because of this. We fought it, did a meter test, called out plumbr to confirm no leaks, NOTHING. So unfortunately we had to do a “no fault/no leak” form which is only allowed like once every ten years. It’s BS because they’ll give you a break if you’re filling up a pool, they will discount 50% of your bill once every THREE years. I’m glad this story is in the news and we are not alone in this issue. Time to rage!!!!

My water bill has been over $400🤪🤪🤪 filled my pool once and the water company said “yeah we like this, let’s keep it this way”. Waiting on that class action lawsuitttttttt

Psh in 2023 I got a 7500 dollar bill from them. They swore we had a water leak. We paid every imaginable water detecting service to come look. They said we lost almost a million gallons of water in 8 weeks. We did not use that amount of water, our damn house would have floated away. We filed bankruptcy because I’ll be damned if I’m paying a bill I don’t owe. And fun fact you can’t take legal action against a municipality. I started a Facebook group called Hampton Roads Water with another woman what had a 12k bill with no explanation.
