@discover_california_: It kills me when people visit California but miss one of its most beautiful parks! 😫 The Mendocino Headlands might be one of the most underrated coastal parks in California. And we got to explore it during our recent stay with Nicholson House! You’ll follow the bluffs around the town of Mendocino, with dramatic cliffs, wild ocean views, sea caves, beaches, rock formations, and plenty of spots where you can wander off the main trail for an even better view. The full route is about 4.8 miles, but you can easily turn around whenever you’ve had your fill. 🥾 Hiking stats - 4.8 miles. - 150 ft elevation gain. - 1.5–2 hours. - Dogs allowed on leash. - Coastal bluffs + beaches + caves. If you’re road-tripping the Northern California coast, DO NOT skip this one. And if you’re planning to stay in Mendocino, I highly reccomend the Nicholson House!
