@marc_sallinger: Donovan Rice didn't find this trail. He built it. The Golden native stitched existing public-land trails into the Great Colorado Route, a roughly 2,000-mile loop starting and ending at Black Canyon of the Gunnison. It includes 13 fourteeners, 47 thirteeners, three national parks and all 11 of Colorado's national forests. He finished the 141-day hike last week and says the route is a first draft. He plans to return next year to fix private property sections and add easier options. He wants other people to hike it too.
