@seiulocal99: LAUSD is sounding the alarm about a “budget crisis” — but layoffs, staffing cuts, and school closures are not the only options. LAUSD has billions in reserves and spends hundreds of millions of dollars on outside contractors. Before cutting the frontline workers and services students depend on, the District needs to use the resources it already has. Education workers ARE the schoolhouse. 💜 It’s time to bring work back in-house, put those dollars back into our schools, and protect the jobs and services that keep LAUSD running every day. We’re going to stay organized and fight to make sure workers and students aren’t the ones asked to pay the price.
