I genuinely don’t understand the Rolex hype. They’re great watches. They have excellent movements, but the process to get them and the price just make no sense to me at all. There are watches of the same quality, complication and beauty that don’t have the price or headache to purchase. Why is Rolex the base for so many people?

If I had to start my collection over, I would do exactly what I did and buy a Tudor Pelagos 39. It’s the perfect first watch for me.
