You once used it to hurt people. What if God could transform you and use that same ability to help them? The courage, influence, determination, and resourcefulness you once used for the wrong reasons can serve a new purpose when you surrender your life to Jesus Christ. God changes your heart, reshapes your character, and teaches you to use your abilities for good. The voice that once threatened can speak hope. The influence that once pulled others into trouble can point them toward Christ. The determination that kept you committed to a destructive life can help you remain faithful to a new one. In this video, I share practical examples from my own conversion—things I once did in the world and how I now use those abilities to serve God. My testimony is a reference point for what God can do in your life too. Perhaps you want to walk away from street life, but you are afraid of what might happen when you leave. I understand that fear. Trusting God with my protection was something I had to learn. You can bring that fear to Him. Ask Him for courage, wisdom, protection, and people who will support you as you take steps toward a different life. Following Christ does not remove every danger or difficulty, but you can trust Him to lead you through them. Second Corinthians 5:17 tells us that anyone in Christ is a new creation. Your past does not put you beyond His reach. Through repentance and faith in Jesus, your life can take a new direction. What could God do through the abilities you surrender to Him today? If you want to begin that journey, comment “God, use my life.” Share this with someone who wants to leave their old life behind, and follow Voice of Purpose for more biblical encouragement and testimonies of God’s transforming power. —Pastor Wayne O.
