I can 1000% understand why this behavior can be weird and jarring to an outside viewer, but from a professional dancer’s perspective, we are unfortunately so desensitized to physical touch because so much of what we do is concentrated around physical touch and the emotional connection is really the only thing that differentiates a partner connection vs a relationship connection!
