I’m so glad I’m not scared to speak up cus damn I would be asking straight in their face why they ruined something I made with love and care, like wtf! They could’ve at least used sprinkles, edible glitter or something instead not a full on spice that would dominate the flavor of what I made🥺

It’s not about the sweet dish still tasting good. It’s about the lack of respect on the boyfriend’s part. He knew she worked hard on the dish. He should have deferred to Op or just tell the host to leave it alone since the host didn’t know the origin of the dessert. The host would not like Op to sprinkle white powdered sugar over her ganache covered cake because the chocolate ganache looked too shiny and dark! The boyfriend is not boyfriend material. He doesn’t support Op or considers her feelings. 🚩🚩🚩

NTA but I do think you’re over reacting a little, especially if this is the first time. Absolutely NOT an AH, because your feelings are valid but he probably didn’t realize how much it meant to you. Yes he messed up, but hopefully he knows better now and will do better!
