Rolling stone 🌻 10/9 Over the past year I have been trying to bottle my journey of my well being into music. Im at a point in my journey where I understand the gravity of what we create. The letters and messages I’ve received in the time of this becoming my career are some of of the most beautiful things I’ve ever read. To be that connected to a stranger is like magic and I feel so blessed to have experienced that magic time and time again.I was hoping I would be all the way healed when I shared this project. That I could be nothing but light. I don’t think I understood how unrealistic that expectation was until recently. I also don’t think I realized how the letters that made me cry and the messages of people saying the music helped them weren’t written by people who had it all figured out or who had overcome all their demons or limitations. It’s more often than not the limitations in a character that draw you to someone and root for them. I think it’s because we all have them. Shame is something I hope I never promote in my art. It’s a wasted emotion that blocks the light. My hope for this album “Luca” is that you feel the effort I put into doing my best to be the best person I can be today despite my traumas and limitations. I hope you feel how honestly I sang each word and that you know you’re not alone in the discomfort of evolving. Even in the discomfort of failing yourself and who you want to be. I pray all 12 songs are a soundtrack to you and I can continue to be a friend in your ear on the good days and the bad days. The light work and the equally important shadow work.
