@soliyanam0: ዘመነ ጽጌ “The season of flowers”.🌹 The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land."- Song of Solomon 2:12. - Zemene Tsige, meaning Season of Flowers, is a sacred season dedicated to Saint Mary, remembering her journey with the infant Jesus as they fled to Egypt to escape King Herod. • This season reminds us of Saint Mary’s suffering, love, and sacrifice throughout this difficult journey, encouraging us to draw closer to God through prayer, fasting, and devotion. • Saint Mary is beautifully symbolized by a flower, while Christ is represented by its fruit—the true Fruit of Life whom she brought into the world. 🌹 • During this season, we honor Saint Mary through special hymns, including Mahilete Tsige (The Chant of Flowers) by Abba Tsige Dengel, as well as other hymns dedicated to her and the hymns of St. Yared. • Tsige Season is ultimately a time to remember Saint Mary’s love and suffering, honor her as our intercessor, and strengthen our faith through prayer, fasting, and devotion.
