You did exactly what you needed too , at the time you needed to do it. Medical personell often forget the Human side of their textbook literature. She wont remember but she will remember , theres a peice of ger that you strengthened in that moment , she knew her momma had her , her momma was her safe place, her comfort, her protector 🥰🥰 they dont remember things in the sense we think of memory, but it develops a bond that is often overlooked. You did /are doing amazing !!!

Sometimes you just need a break. They are just like us, but with limited ways to tell us what’s wrong. I know I’d hate if I had to wear them around the clock, so of course she just wanted a little break 💕

There is some validity to teaching children to endure uncomfortable things. This is not that age. If she’s crying, it to communicate with you. She has no other way to tell you something is wrong. Good for you for listening to your instincts! That is a beautiful bond you two have, and she’s very lucky she landed you as a mom. Keep doing what you know to be right for your girl!

We do remember these moments. One of my twin grands was bilateral club foot. Oh, those boots and bars almost broke me. I would beg her mama to take them off a minute. I was no help. And it broke my daughter, too. I remember the exercises, foot massages, her learning to climb stairs in BAB’s!!! She’s 7 now and when I watch her running, I cry every time. I tell everyone she’s a walking miracle. She doesn’t remember that time at all. Her feet were so bad but her mama was so diligent she was able to get out of them early! It will get easier, I promise. It doesn’t feel like it, but it will! You are doing an amazing job and when you see her walk? Worth it. 🩷

you are doing amazing mama, I remember the 24 her wear and sometimes my little man just needed that small break. it gets better, easier almost I'd say. my 10mo 'helps' put his boots on at night now and he knows it's close to bedtime when they go on. just remember you are strong, she is strong, and and you've both got this.

My son is 20 and this makes me cry. I remember these days and how heart breaking it was. I would cry with him many nights. You are doing great mom and it is perfectly ok to take a little break for both of you.

my club foot baby is 1 year old now and I remeber these days. you didnt break mama there are days my guy wore his less they may not remeber but doesnt mean they aren't uncomfortable. he still struggles some nights to wear his at bed time. I give him grace.... my little guys boots are wore with strap buckles on the inside always did they specify which way? if I put his on this way on accident he freaks out like it hurts. may not be the case just noticed the buckles opposite of my little guy.

You can’t give “tough love” to an infant! Thats not how their brains work. If she is too uncomfortable, you have to give her breaks..you are the mother and her protector
