@jasonstormchaser: 🌴 LATEST TROPICAL UPDATE — GULF SYSTEM BEING WATCHED The tropics are getting active again, with a broad area of low pressure (AL92) currently developing over the southwestern Gulf of America. The National Hurricane Center gives this system a 90% chance of tropical cyclone formation over the next 48 hours. The system is expected to drift eastward before turning north or northeast toward the northern Gulf Coast later this week. 📍 What this could mean: * Heavy rainfall and gusty winds are possible along portions of the Gulf Coast. * Louisiana through the Florida Panhandle should closely monitor the system. * Specific impacts and the eventual track remain uncertain. * It is too early to determine any direct impacts to Texas or North Texas.
