Calling Mamdani a ‘fake socialist’ is not true, he’s used his power as mayor to push for freezing rent and used publicly funded services to the maximal benefit of the people. Also your claim that he defended and protected Netanyahu is just not true, it’s also just not fair to criticize him on not arresting Netanyahu since he doesn’t have the legal authority to serve the ICC arrest warrant. Marxists cannot define socialism either as they view it from specifically a Marxist lense which ignores both the original socialist thinkers being the utopian socialists and also ignores the other branches of socialism like yellow socialism (if you consider it socialist), state socialism and democratic socialism etc etc socialism is an umbrella term for many different ideologies to the point where it would be hard to define it at all
