@patrickc_la: •Bioluminescence• Last night I experienced bioluminescence like I never have before! I was out in Mission Bay, San Diego and stumbled across what looks like bioluminescent fireworms. Only this time, instead of extruding the bio for a mating ritual, they were glowing from gentle movement like normal bio. I first noticed this when large fish swam through this cloud-like structure in the water and then proceeded to see hundreds of green glowing dots. What’s crazy about this video is being able to not only see the green bio, but the blue bio as well, all in the same shot. I’m pretty sure it’s never been filmed before! None of the fireworms were harmed in the making of this video. I used an oar from a paddle board and simulated gentle water movement they’re already used to, like a wave crashing or fish swimming by. Huge shoutout to @erikjepsen for finding the bioluminescence in San Diego and inviting me out! I’m stoked we stumbled across this and hopefully we get more bioluminescence tonight!
