As someone who studies Ancient Greek; this couldn't be more wrong. The Heel was exposed out of practicality, Achilles was known for Speed "Swift-Foot"; this cannot be achieved if the ankle movement is limited by armour. This still wore heavy Bronze Greaves to protect shins from frontal strikes. The story of the Heel being vulnerable because it's where his mother held him at the River Styx is merely a myth created by Roman Poets hundreds of years later. "Achilles Units" is a Modern idea originating from Video Games; No one has Achilles Armour as it was made by Hephaestus, Soldiers who followed Achilles in modern day have been given his Armour to help with association as a design choice; not historical fact. I love Ancient Greek; I hate the WWs. If we actually Respected ancient Greek we would of had any World War 🤷 but here we are destroying history for Memes. 🤦 "Reference level that isn't possible" because it isn't, there is no reference here.
