As a Portland native, this city gets a bad reputation on the national scale for no reason whatsoever. Our seasons are beautiful (yes, it rains), we have the coast, mountains, rivers, lots of hiking, sports, a top tier food scene, no sales tax, lots of small and intimate music venues, great public transit that makes getting to the airport and Moda Center easy, etc. On the downside, Portland metro has one of the highest COL in the country and we have highest taxes of any major city 😭 And.. like any city we have homelessness.
