That apartment is 11k per month, another creator toured it as a prospect for herself

Trust me! There’s still craftsmanship, everyone isn’t on social media showing their home.

Paying 10k for an apartment is crazy work. I don’t give a damn what amenities or how nice they look.

Real estate became more about uniformity and maximizing returns. Literally everything became bland and it goes beyond apartments!

Architecture is way too modernised and lacking in eccentricity

There’s levels of luxury apartments. The floor to ceiling windows are luxurious. The ones with WOODWORK, Vaulted Ceiling, ETC. are ANOTHER LEVEL of luxury.

Bring back Archetypical design + charm. I think someone commented Clarke original your video and asked ‘where’s the floor to ceiling windows?’ — why have them?

I wrote an essay on this. They are trying to make our lives and surroundings more dull and take away the individuality of architecture and thus our reality. Luxury is become and matierial, not a place. Historical cities were different because building was still a local act. Climate, stone, craft, religion, and the habits of the street forced decisions. The new luxury condo tells you nothing except that capital arrived.

The new apartments in Detroit are annoying. They are small and have cheap fixtures….talking about “luxury “

It’s because people confuse large/modern apartments with luxury apartments.

I’m not gonna lie her apartment is ok. But I live in Doha now, you should see what 3 K apartments look like. I LOVE my apartment it’s all white marble two bed two and a half bath for $1700 but I’m not by the water. For 11k here she would have an insane villa by the beach . I feel like America over charges for that then consider luxury. Moving has changed the way I view everything

there's a generalized term for this, it's called: Sense of Place when you can't pinpoint where something is located because it lacks identity, it has a low sense of place. places like Paris, tokyo, etc have a high sense of place
