I get asked that same question too all the time and honestly it's way more complicated than ppl make it sound. A healthy relationship btw two ppl takes the same dreams, values, goals, faith, love, trust, respect, communication, boundaries&space, and still being able to be yourself. I watched Hitch on my flight to FL last weekend and Will Smith’s character says, "This is exactly why falling in love is so goddamn hard." it stuck with me bc it really is hard. I've never been in a relationship myself but I've opened up about my feelings before and been rejected So I have some understanding of what it is like and putting yourself out there is never ever easy. The honest truth is two people don't need identical or perfect lives to be happy together. Understanding what it’s like to be judged, doubted, hurt, criticized or misunderstood can create a deeper level of empathy&connection and help both ppl grow and become better for themselves and their relationship. I feel like there are some things we could relate to so hypothetically if life ever worked out that way, I'd just want to be your biggest fan, support you, cheer you on, believe in you and all your dreams/goals and always remind you that your past or other ppl’s opinions don’t make you any less deserving of real love. However, sometimes being single just feels safer than opening your heart wondering "What if they love me for a moment then everything changes?" Maybe being single is exactly what some of us need until the right person comes along and makes taking that risk worth it. Either way something genuine, healthy, supportive, loving and lasting is always worth waiting for!❤️🤝
