People don't get that making peace was NOT a choice. Actually beating the diamonds was completely impossible. The best possibility was to make peace and stop diamonds from colonizing everywhere. Destroying diamonds wasn't possible AT ALL.

I wish they didn’t cancel the show so early. We could’ve gotten a longer season to dive into the diamonds as characters. Maybe they would’ve seemed… semi redeemable or maybe the ending would’ve been different

Fact!! Bismuth wasn’t wrong, she was just misguided. Her idea was emotionally flawed, she was basing it off everyone she lost. Steven’s pacifism while very much naive, is a slightly good idea but combine it with Bismuth’s weaponry with shattering, and boom. They literally would just be pulling a neutral run from Undertale of weakening everyone (which is kinda what they did lol)

Bismuth's heart was in the right place but unfortunately it was the only thing in the right place. I never understood how she thought her little weapon was going to change the tides when none of the crystal gems had even had a physical confrontation with any of the diamonds and the only reason Pink Diamond was "shattered" was because she herself planned it. She's the weakest diamond and they technically didn't even take her out with their own methods.

Oh yeah that rebellion was a losing battle on Earth. On Homeworld it wouldn’t even had made it an hour. The fact they made it that long was because of a miracle (the miracle of Pink still being “alive”). Once Pink was out of the picture, them Diamonds came and shut that whole thing down. On the Crystal Gem’s turf mind you!

THANK YOU. And people be acting like Steven was cool with the diamonds just because he didn’t wanna start a fucking gem civil war. Cuz even if they somehow managed to defeat the diamonds, what about all the gems who were 100% loyal to them mfs, there was bound to be multiple armies of gems as crazy as Jasper ready to jump them. If you kill someone’s queen/monarchy, who’s going to become the new leader or try to establish peace and independence?
