The thing is ridge reversion is like 0.06% daily average with an unacceptable drawdown. I've tried all manner of AI and static trading and the conclusion I came to is that there is no money to be made. Manual intuition is different, a trader can easily make 20-40% per day with leverage consistently with varying strategies (avg, there will be losing days and lower return days). The thing I've found is that like with prediction quality of an ML solution, intuition decays over time. The best thing you can do? Focus on filtering a variety of instruments based on say top 20 leveraged movers over the previous 24h and then watch for upticks. Longs favour over shorts, due to bigger moves generally.
