My husband helped me with my period when I started my period a week after my back surgery. I could not even walk by myself. He helped clean me and change my pads. He helped me shower, change the sheets when I leaked several times because I was drugged and slept trough needing to change my pad. He got my hot water bottle, went to the store for snacks, and basically took the best care. He felt so bad that I had to have my period when I had just had surgery.
