@ericalzablon: The electronic throttle body ETC controls the amount of air entering the engine without using a mechanical cable between the pedal and the butterfly. The pedal incorporates two redundant APP signals that change voltage with the travel. The ECU compares APP1 and APP2, determines the driver's request and controls the DC engine of the throttle body through two control lines to position the butterfly. The actual position of the butterfly is monitored through two redundant TPS signals. Normally the unit has a reference power supply of 5 V, sensor mass and two position signals, in addition to the two TAC engine circuits. The ECU continuously compares the requested position by APP with the actual position reported by TPS; the redundant signals must maintain a correlation defined by the manufacturer throughout the trip. A loss of 5 V, insufficient mass, open circuit, short circuit, wear of APP/TPS, DC engine failure, stuck butterfly or loss of correlation can trigger DTC as P0121, P0221, P2101, P2119 or P2135, depending on the application. The ECU can then limit the butterfly opening, reduce torque and enter protection mode. The diagnosis must be performed by checking power supply, mass, APP1/APP2, TPS1/TPS2 and engine command with scanner, multimeter and, when necessary, oscilloscope. #fyp #viral #tiktok
