Something to note is that water in biblical times needed to be boiled and then brought back down to room temp in order to be drinkable so simply filling jugs with water would make everyone who drank it terribly sick. That’s another reason for everyone’s amazement because when he said to fill the jugs with water, it literally made no sense since they couldn’t drink that either
