As a former district employee for jr high, it’s because kids really be doing bad stuff in the bathrooms; playing on phones, smoking, fighting, etc. It’s unfortunately a way to keep them safe on campus. 🤷🏼♀️Seems strange to some but I think that’s because (no offense) yall haven’t experienced the WHY behind something like this. If staff doesn’t check, and a student is hurt? Now it’s the schools fault for not checking. Gotta do what you gotta do.

There was a towel dispenser that was torn off the wall in one of our student restrooms this week. Last week they broke a sink and tried to flushed an entire roll of toilet paper down the toilet. And people wonder why restrooms are monitored.
