Although Ava’s strategy is flawed, I see the point. When kids get in trouble they clam up, close off. If not that then get upset and yell or scream. Having the possibly punished kid get into an environment where it feels welcoming can really help you to understand if anything more is going on. Ava just need to put her foot down more often and remember she’s the authority figure
