@ourhampshireandbeyond: 🎃 Hampshire's best pumpkin spots — #1 📍 @pickingpatch Fordingbridge Ad Kicking off our Hampshire pumpkin spot series with a visit to The Picking Patch in Fordingbridge, which has a Witchville theme this year! 🧙‍♀️🌽 We visited at the weekend and there’s loads going on for families and different ages, quieter now as think a lot of families wait until mid to end October. 🌽 The huge maize maze was the highlight for me. You’re given a booklet with a murder mystery to solve as you navigate the twists, turns, dead ends and different scenes hidden around the maze. The AI posters were a tad annoying though The maize was higher than our group in places, so we genuinely got a bit lost at points! 😂 A lot of fun. 🚂 The Witchville Train is a buggy pulling hollowed-out barrels, great short trip for kids — especially as it takes you through part of the maize maze too. £3.50 feels like good value. 🐾 There’s also a whole separate Dogville area for visitors to take their dogs which I thought was a nice touch, with an obstacle course and plenty of photo opportunities. 🎨 Older kids can have a go at the graffiti workshop, choosing a T-shirt, cap or old record to create their own stencil design and take home. 🎃 And, of course, there’s the pumpkin picking. There’s a whole area of the maize with bundles of different coloured pumpkins in all sorts of sizes to choose from. You can also pick up carving tools and use stencils at the craft table. There are also plenty of other Halloween activities, including witch crafts and marshmallow toasting , and a coffee and food vendor🔥 A great spot for a Halloween day out on the New Forest side of Hampshire. We’ll be sharing more pumpkin spots around Hampshire, so keep an eye out for the next one! 👀 #OurHampshireAndBeyond #Hampshire #PumpkinPicking
