Same clothes. No jewelry. No major luxury purchases. And I think part of that comes from spending most of my adult life without much money. Once you’ve experienced scarcity, security can become addictive. You keep thinking: “What if it disappears?” So maybe I’ve gone too far in the other direction. I’ve spent on experiences. Travel. Scuba. Flying. Wildlife expeditions. Those things genuinely improve my life. But now I’m asking: What purchases would actually create more freedom, health, adventure, or connection? Maybe a truck. Maybe watercraft. Maybe things that make it easier to explore, host friends, or spend more time outside. I still don’t care about looking rich. But money should probably improve your life somehow.
