@manwhoreharry: (First two vids aren’t mine, also @spideysprk posted this first I just wanted to make a Tomarry version 🙂‍↕️) also here’s the reasons why there’s protests in Belgium to begin with; The minister of education (Glatigny) and her political party added more hours to the teachers while not increasing their salaries even though they’re already underpaid, many teachers quit/lost their jobs due to that so shortage of teachers, they’re increasing the access to public universities by 1200€ (it used to be 830~ I believe), she’s deleting an additional grade for students who have failed, she’s aiming to financially punish the families of kids who don’t come to school for days in a row + sending cops to their houses, etc. Oh, and also increasing the bus cards yearly subscription to 384€ (180€ when you’re over 24yo I believe), even though the price was only 12€/year for years. This will make it so that students who can’t afford it and/or live too far will become academic dropouts, etc. She and her likes are making education elitist and an even bigger privilege. And as for destroying things, don’t come at me with the "Smashing things undermines our credibility and we won’t be taken seriously!!" Give me a BREAK and stop acting like fools and sheep the way they want you to. We’ve been protesting peacefully since last year, and what does the government do? They vote behind our backs at 4 a.m. when there’s nothing we can do about it. At some point, if they won't give us their attention, we have to take it by force. The Belgian working class revolution of 1886 didn't happen peacefully either, people died, the destruction of the cities were grave, and yet it worked because the working class (the people) terrified the bourgeoisie. Wake up, for God's sake. Our government DOESN'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT PEACEFUL PROTESTS.
