@yuyuerer8: Caleb Flynn's defense missed key moments during cross-examination of the mistress, Allleigha Botber. With conflicting strategies and lost opportunities for presenting doubt, the case takes a complicated turn. What are your thoughts on the defense’s approach? #CalebFlynn #CrossExamination #DefenseStrategy #LegalAnalysis #ReasonableDoubt
It was actually a very short trip to Florida—January 22–24—considering that the 22nd and 24th were travel days. She stayed in Clearwater, so she would have had to travel to Tampa for the airport. That means the 23rd may have been the only full day she actually had in Florida.
What makes the trip seem especially unusual to me is that she also boarded a large dog for such a short trip.
I wonder whether this trip to Florida could have been related to getting rid of evidence—specifically the iPhone 16 Pro and the MacBook Pro. The iPhone 16 Pro is water-resistant, and the MacBook Pro would normally have Find My enabled if it had been set up that way. If the MacBook couldn’t be located, I wonder whether Find My had been disabled or whether there was another explanation.
Then there was the use of a burner phone. Why was that necessary?
She testified that she lost the MacBook on the flight back. But if she had the laptop with her in Clearwater, she presumably could have used it at the hotel, connected to Wi-Fi, and communicated with people from there. I personally find the explanation difficult to understand.
I also wonder whether the MacBook could have been disposed of in the water while she was in Florida. She specifically testified about going kayaking, so I think investigators should consider whether there were cameras around the dock or rental location that could potentially corroborate what happened.
This Florida trip was only a few weeks before Ashley’s killing, which makes the timing particularly interesting to me. I’m not saying this proves anything, but I think the circumstances deserve a much closer look.
And then there’s the issue of her statements to the FBI. If she knowingly lied to federal investigators about a material matter, that can potentially be a federal crime. The exact circumstances and what she said would matter, though.
I just can’t understand how these questions aren’t being investigated more thoroughly.
