I don't think she's stupid. She's just in denial and her subconscious is blocked out of protection. Her psyche isn't allowing her to remember because her old life was very traumatic and especially with the whole children of it all, the kids calling her mum heals something inside of her that she's clinging to as her infertility was something that was very traumatic for her and her looking after those kids heals her inner childhood especially since she had a very traumatic childhood. She's not stupid nor do I think Ercan is writing her stupid I think we are finally seeing her trauma get addressed and how deeply scarred she is. I just see a deeply traumatised girl living in a false reality and using it as protection no matter how much evidence Serhat throws in her face because her reality too much to handle hence why she faints every time she remembers.
