@stacywithrow: When a hurricane is approaching, most people are understandably focused on getting themselves and their families somewhere safe. But this man reportedly had another group on his mind: animals that had nowhere else to go. Instead of leaving them behind, he loaded his bus with dogs, cats, carriers, blankets and whatever supplies he could fit, essentially turning it into a real-life “Noah’s Ark” to get them away from the danger. Just imagine the amount of work involved in safely transporting that many frightened animals while a major storm is approaching. It would have been much easier to say there wasn’t enough room or that someone else would take care of them. But sometimes making a difference really does come down to one person deciding, “I’m not leaving them behind.” Those animals may never understand what happened that day, but they certainly benefited from someone who cared enough to act when it mattered most.
