That was my understanding for almost 20 years—that being a Godly woman meant enduring, staying strong, forgiving, and holding everything together no matter how much it hurt. But somewhere in that process, I lost myself. I started to hate who I was becoming, became a difficult person, and paid an unbearable price for trying to survive and keep everything together.
Now I feel exhausted. I feel like I have given up on life as I knew it. Waiting for more than 20 years, losing myself along the way, is not what I believe God intended for me. Being a Godly woman should not mean sacrificing my entire identity, my peace, and my soul forever. I believe God wants me to heal, find myself again, and learn that choosing peace and taking care of myself is not selfish.
