@denisphillipsweather: Tropical Storm Isaias Morning Update: 1. No changes to our thinking from yesterday. Isaias is expected to make landfall as a Cat 1 or 2 hurricane late Friday night near Mobile Bay. 2. Winds could reach Cat 3 strength early on Friday, but high shear should weaken the storm somewhat before it actually reaches the Alabama coastline. 3. There is a ton of agreement on track. For folks still concerned about our area, this is NOT Milton. No impacts are expected in the Bay Area from Isaias. 4. Students of Florida State University and Florida A&M University could see gusty winds (possibly to nearly tropical storm force) but I don't think impacts in Tallahassee will be significant. University of West Florida will be much closer. Parents of students there should listen to local officials and school administrators to decide what's best for their kids. It could get pretty nasty in Pensacola. 5. Based of current track, impacts on New Orleans will be rather low with the worst well to the East. 6. Significant rain along and East of the track with the aforementioned shear pushing much of the "squally" weather to the "right" at landfall late Friday or early Saturday morning. 7. Updates 24/7 as always. It's what we do. As for our area, little to no impacts from Isaias, however a stalled front continues to give us high rain chances through Friday. Improvements by the weekend. Until then... ✈️. ✅️ Disney ☂️ 🦔 Walking 🦆🌂 🚢 🤢 🏖🚫
