@maggieskitchensandbaths: Countertop materials ranked from best to worst. Quartz gets an A. It’s durable, consistent, comes in a huge range of colors and doesn’t require sealing. Quartzite gets an S. You get the beauty and uniqueness of natural stone with excellent durability. Marble gets a B. It’s beautiful, but it requires more care and maintenance to keep it looking its best. Granite gets a C. Still a durable natural stone option, but it requires sealing and doesn’t have the same demand it once did. Butcher block gets an F for an entire kitchen. It can look great as an accent in certain areas, but I wouldn’t use it everywhere. Dekton gets a D and poured concrete gets an F. Both can have their place, especially depending on the application, but they wouldn’t be my first choice for most kitchens. Quartzite takes the top spot.
