@cbsaustin: Austin police are investigating two recent homicides less than 20 miles apart. In South Austin, a man died after being found injured at the La Madrid Apartments on Menchaca Road. No one is in custody, but investigators believe the victim and suspect knew each other. In a separate case, a man in his 60s or 70s was found dead at a CapMetro bus stop on Norwood Park in Northeast Austin. Police say that case appears to be isolated. The cases are being investigated as Austin’s 45th and 46th homicides of the year. We’ll continue following both investigations. Find more on CBSAustin.com.
