@itsfreakedoutliz: That preview of Below brought me right back to Newfoundland… and the eerie feeling I had on that ferry. 😳🌊 I felt something ancient beneath those dark waters, and I couldn’t stop wondering what was down there. Sea creatures, fairy folklore, and a coastline as beautiful as it is mysterious. I’m watching today and reporting back on my feels! Have you ever been somewhere gorgeous that gave you the creeps? 👀 #BelowNetflix #Newfoundland #OceanMysteries #SeaMonsters #FreakedOutLiz
I was born in Newfoundland and still live here and looking out at the water gives me the opposite feeling, it calms me. 🌊

look into bell island, on the avalon. they have Mines over there, also lots of known fairy sightings. along all the coast of newfoundland there's MANY fisherman lost to the sea.
looking out to the sea and all the views it's something that never makes us wanna leave or always come back to.
like everyone is proud of where they come from, but newfoundlanders I think people would say we're over proud.

I’m absolutely terrified of the ocean and refuse to swim in it. I 100%. Believe there is nightmare fuel in the water

I grew up on the southwest coast of Newfoundland and yes there is definitely something in the water. A lot of the older fishermen would agree ❤️

My grandma was born and raised in Newfoundland. She always talked about what it was like when she was little. I should have asked her more questions when she was alive.

Not sea related but growing up in nfld as a child older folks always talked about the fairies in the woods and how you should never walk through the woods alone at night because the fairies would take you and you’d lose all track of time

I grew up in calgary and Newfoundland flying back and fourth. There is some spooky stuff on that island. I feel like it would be hard to live there and not believe in some supernatural things

We’ve lost a lot of great fisherman on the island… Especially the small fisherman towns around the bay
