Churro Recipe⬇️ * 1 cup water (240 ml) * 4 tbsp unsalted butter (57 g) * 1 tbsp sugar (12 g) * ¼ tsp salt * 1 cup all-purpose flour (120 g) * 1 large egg * 1 tsp vanilla extract * Neutral oil for frying Cinnamon sugar * ½ cup sugar (100 g) * 2 tsp ground cinnamon Chocolate sauce * ½ cup heavy cream (120 ml) * 4 oz semisweet chocolate, finely chopped (113 g) * Pinch of salt Make the churro cookies 1. Bring the water, butter, sugar, and salt to a boil in a saucepan. 2. Reduce heat to low and add all the flour. Stir vigorously until a smooth dough forms, then cook, stirring, for 1–2 minutes. 3. Transfer to a bowl and cool for 5–10 minutes, until warm. Beat in the egg and vanilla until smooth; it will look separated at first. 4. Put the dough into a sturdy piping bag fitted with a large open-star tip. 5. Pipe 2½–3-inch spirals onto parchment on a baking sheet, starting in the center and working outward. Keep neighboring rings touching lightly so each cookie holds together. Make one flat layer, without stacking dough. 6. Freeze for 30 minutes, or until firm enough to lift cleanly. Remove the parchment before frying. 7. Heat about 2 inches of oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep, heavy pot. Fry straight from frozen, 2–3 at a time, for approximately 4–6 minutes total, flipping halfway, until deep golden and cooked through. Keep the oil near 350°F. 8. Drain briefly, then toss in the cinnamon sugar while warm. Make the chocolate sauce Heat the cream until steaming, without boiling. Pour over the chopped chocolate and salt, let stand 2 minutes, then stir until smooth. Tip: Keep the spirals flat and the dough strands about ½ inch thick or less so the centers cook before the outside gets too dark. Fry one first to check the timing Day 7 !! #fyp #churro #churros #homecooking
