Ik y’all would hate me for this, but sumeru is def the best nation (only if u LOVEE to explore nations) it has different puzzles esp the desert,the aranara, giant ass map that has a lot of puzzles yknow

I miss seelies. I miss finding random chests because I accidentally smacked a rock. I miss seeing 3 torches on a wall and lighting them up, or putting a stone construct on a pressure pad. exploration has been going downhill since Fontain.

okay listen, my main account is absolute endgame so i started a new one because i have nothing better to do and trust me when i say the older regions have more chests and riddles with natlan the regions began to have more empty spaces and most chests are obtained through killing some monsters exploring the older regions again feels really refreshing and i wish we would get more riddle chests again

I need sumeru type of exploration and richness/diversity in puzzles and chests again. Plus the reputation, it made sure you couldn‘z immediately get the compass and you had to try at least for a few weeks to go without it, which in my opinion made it more interesting as well

I don't know about y'all but I felt the magic. It's just for me anyways. I've always loved snow and the vibe of sneznaya hit me. I love the exploration in sneznaya. (My opinion don't hate please)

I think its because the stuff is sooo spaced out so much. In dragonspine after you get one chest you can spot another right off the distance. But in snezhnaya you lowkey gotta haul your ass from point a to point b just to get to the chest

The last time I had fun exploring was the Sumeru Desert temples or the pyramids. The puzzles in there was so fun for me.

I think I miss the feeling of having to god damn clue where I am. it's really empty in general and the story areas are passable in chests and challenges. somehow it feels like there's less stuff to do.

Not gonna lie Sneznhaya is big but Hoyoverse didn't put enough chests like I've spent 4 hours on Sneznhaya and my exploration is almost complete

the new exploration compass is absolutely AMAZING but I noticed that snezhnaya looks like a map made for "exploring with the compass" (so just basically following the markings) instead of exploring by urself and later using the compass for hidden chests/mechanisms/seelies and everything

I always compare exploration to liyue. there you can go to a random way point and start just going through the scenery and you'd find random chests in every nook and cranny, dig chests, challenges, hidden chests. in snezhnaya only obvious group of enemy every 500 meters and 2 jack frost challenge and call it a day

i had the most fun in the chasm, it actually brought me back from a 4-5 year hiatus. though unrelated Snezhnaya exploration felt so heavy and sad, the jack frosts were cute but stained by linnea’s lore. I bumped into so many upsetting world quests along the way, the energy in that one mansion on the mountain was so heavy it was weird.
