I think I have this… my watch and phone say I’m sleeping (snoring included) but my brain is awake and processing constantly and I wake up feeling exhausted, because I feel like I’ve not slept.

Hey that’s me I hear everything going on while I’m asleep when I’d sleep over at friends and they wake up before me I’d recall their full conversation they had while I was asleep snoring lol at first they thought I was faking it but after while they stopped talking in room while I slept lol

So for them to do this wakeful sleep, do they still need the conditions of bed time? Quiet, dark, cozy, warm. Or can they just lounge on a couch next to whatever other people nearby are doing, dishes, light from a TV, and listen to an audio book?
